Architecture

We design for end users seeking quality. Our projects focus on single-family residences but also include multi-family (new and remodel), historic preservation, institutional buildings (park buildings, schools), and commercial buildings.

Interiors

We provide complete services including interior design, space planning, and material specifications with emphasis on low-toxicity, reclaimed and local, energy-efficient, and otherwise sustainable selections.


Romina Tonucci, AIA, NCARB

Romina is passionate about thoughtful, contextual and technically sound design. She brings personable and a flexible style with a critical eye to construction details to ensure projects are of the utmost quality.

As a young child, growing up in Rosario, Argentina, Romina was inspired by her architect mother who ran her own studio. After the family moved to the US, they continued to travel to South America and Europe. These travels inspired and shaped Romina's design sense and passion.

Romina's professional experience spans 17 years at Chicago area firms. After Graduating with honors with her Master of Architecture from the University of Detroit-Mercy, she moved to Chicago and started her career at the well-know Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture where she focused on historic preservation projects such as Randolph Tower.

She continued at prestigious firm of Valerio Dewalt Train for 13 years, where her experience as an Associate spanned student housing, commercial office, corporate campus, historical preservation, retail, high-rise residential, education, and laboratory spaces. Romina maintains citizenship in the U.S., Italy, and Argentina, and is an avid photographer, runner, yoga practitioner, and pianist.
